Job Description Architect: Oracle 10g, SDLC, ASP.Net, C# SQL Server 2005

Short Description:
Senior Architect responsible for designing, developing, and implementing application infrastructure to provide highly-complex, reliable, and scalable applications and systems to meet the organizations objectives and requirements.
Complete Description:
The incumbent in this position serves as a senior architect for .Net and Mobile Computing solutions for PennDOT. The Senior Architect will serve as the primary software architect for a project to deploy Windows-based mobile devices with custom software to PennDOT district staff in order to collect local road network and asset information. The solution will involve working with Microsoft.NET, Windows mobile computing, Oracle Spatial and ESRI GIS tools. The candidate will help PennDOT solidify strategies for mobile and geospatial applications development. The candidate will work with ESRI technicians to deliver a pilot solution. The candidate will also lead a development team to build out the pilot into a comprehensive solution and coordinate full deployment.
1. Serve as the lead architect and designer of n-tier applications using Microsoft .NET, mobile computing and GIS technologies.
2. Architect, design and develop user interface, service tier and data tier components for complex applications, including server-based web applications and Windows mobile applications..
3. Serve a key role in the design of normalized transactional databases in Oracle 10g and Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
4. Serve as a team leader and coordinate the efforts of application developers.
5. Participate in the full SDLC process (including coding) of .NET application solutions, including C#, ASP.NET, HTML, XML and web services.
6. Participate in design and coding of database objects in Oracle 10g and SQL Server 2005, including queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, etc.
7. Participate in design and coding of application-embedded, scheduled and ad-hoc reporting solutions using Business Objects XI, Crystal Reports, Excelcius and Web Intelligence.
8. Meet with end users and technical staff of all types to gather business and system requirements
