Acquire application knowledge that will help provide guidance to developers working on major project involving structure changes - Monitor Disk usage. Work with AGT (shared services) if any additional disk is needed - Monitor performance on the servers. Application performance relies on backend hardware performance. - Resolve performance issues. Tuning SQL queries. Candidate should have experience working with OEM, gathering stats, ASH reports, etc - Refreshes to DEV and UAT regions using Prod data - Elevation of Oracle related code to UAT and Prod regions - Help with next year budgeting. Forecast disk usage and assist with budget process for disk or any additional software purchases - Unix AIX is the backend for most of the Oracle databases. So heavy unix scripting knowledge is a must. - Coordinate server patches/upgrades with application teams. - Candidate will also play an admin role for Informatica¿s Powercenter(ETL tool) elevation/deployment - On-call responsibilities. - SQL server admin knowledge is a plus.
