Job Description Administrator: Oracle 11g, Oracle DBA, Unix,

[Note : Candidates must currently be on your W-2 (no visa transfers, etc). ]

Responsibilities:

· Provide 24 by 7 on-call administration and support. Work with business areas and IT developers to troubleshoot and resolve daytime and after-hours support issues in a timely manner as described in IT and business area service level agreements. Facilitate and implement environmental and application changes according to local and national processes and procedures.

· Implement and maintain Oracle databases. Assist in the design of security and integrity controls. Design and analyze distributed computing policies, procedures, and standards. Patching and upgrading installations.

· Provide consultation to local lines of business and assist them with information technology decisions and implementations.

· Evaluate and research new information technologies and, when appropriate, recommend the implementation of new technologies to management.

· Perform daily database maintenance, monitoring, and performance turning tasks.

· Perform database changes based on the business and application requirements.

· Work with local and national lines of business to research, implement, and support information technology solutions. Develop and maintains project documentation.

· Create and update written documentation according to Federal Reserve project and information security standards. Provide management with written status reports for projects and tasks.

· Identify performance and scaling improvements of Database and document any necessary recommendations.

· Document and present any other findings or recommendations beyond those specified above.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; coursework in MIS and/or advanced Oracle certification is highly desired.

2. Require ten years of information services experience including Oracle database and security administration experience in a distributed environment.

3. Require experience in Oracle 11g and Oracle enterprise Manager (OEM).

4. Prefer Oracle Certified DBA.

5. Prefer UNIX experience.

6. Excellent interpersonal skills.

7. Excellent communication skills:

Communicates proactively in a project environment with colleagues and management on a wide variety of project issues. Key skills include issue identification and resolution, status updating, and analyzing and reporting on alternative design solutions.
Communicates effectively on complex technical matters to non-technical audiences, including the FRS business community. Communications could include presentations, training, documentation, memos, etc.

8. Demonstrated experience administering solutions in an enterprise environment.

9. Demonstrated experience implementing software and architectural design patterns.
