In Software Quality Engineer role, we expect the following responsibilities Work as an individual contributor with support from lead Hands on in analyzing product development design and articulate expected testing approach Produces test that provide sufficient test coverage for areas of responsibility Interfaces with other functional teams on aspects of the feature or sub-system Frequently interfaces with QA and Dev team members Write data-driven, white box/API test automation Maintain and create new automated test cases using C++/Java/Python/Perl/Shell Be proactive to learn any new technology relevant to assigned task Requirements BS in EE/CS with minimum of 6 years (or MS) experience in fast-paced software industry with an understanding of QA methodologies. Must have programming experience in Java, C++, Perl or Python Strong understanding of database concepts Must have strong UNIX and SQL skills Ability to come up with test scenarios and write test plans and test cases Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong team player Working knowledge of front-end and back-end applications Ability to document and track defects, as well as produce detailed reports using defect tracking tools Familiarity with software development lifecycles Solid knowledge of web applications Qualification Rating Enterprise Databases Oracle SQL*Plus 2 (Limited Experience) of 5 (Expert) and 3+ Yrs.
