The Applications Developer understands the application and architecture from end-to-end and supports testing strategies relative to the business requirements and coordinates the install of production fixes and application upgrades. This individual also applies an in depth understanding of applications to daily production support and works with a team of analysts, vendors, and other internal Chase application teams to ensure the system is available for processing 24 x 7 and improve mean time to repair (MTTR). RESPONSIBILIES: - Understand/apply reusable code design, leverage application architecture/framework capabilities and functionality, and design/develop solutions that are highly reliable, scalable, and perform to meet business-defined service levels. - Work with Product owners to help shape the direction of the product based on a combined knowledge of whats technically feasible and what is desired by the end user. - Contribute to the technical code and design documentation. - Conduct code reviews and ensuring quality solutions are built and tested. - Identify and implement improvements to products. - Provide production support and issue triage for products. REQUIRED SKILLS: - Software Development Experience - 10+ years - Experience in Web development technologies and best practices - 5+ years expertise with ASP, ASP.NET, JSP, PHP or other frameworks used to develop dynamic web pages - 3-5 years experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, jQuery, AJAX - Experience with XML: XSLT, DTD or Schema modeling, DOM/XPath/SAX parsing - Expertise developing and testing across multiple browsers, platforms, DOM implementations - 3+ years experience with Design Patterns, Advanced Object-Oriented Programming, MVC Architecture, Web Services, and Backend/External System Integration - Relevant W3C standards and best practices experience - 3+ years Experience Eclipse - Mature design, coding, testing and debugging skills - Experience with CVS or Subversion, Jira, Greenhopper a plus - Experience with agile development processes, specifically SCRUM or XP - Demonstrable experience to technically design and architect enterprise class applications. - Understanding of Object Orientated Analysis and Design and Component analysis - Working knowledge of software development methodologies - Have an open attitude towards sharing ideas and knowledge. - A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow things through. - Excellent prioritization and time management. - The ability to present and absorb complex ideas quickly and accurately. - An ability to balance multiple time-critical tasks at the same time - The ability to motivate and influence others.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
