These tools MUST support a continuous development environment from multiple teams and organizational units working with and on many primary systems and their related subsystems as well as large group of real-time interfaces to many federal, state, and private databases with data sharing modalities. The Engineer will be responsible to work with the development teams and project management to ensure that the most appropriate tool sets are identified, procured, made available and are effectively and efficiently used by the scrum development teams and their business partners across DHW. Expected Deliverables (Section B): * Description of skills and knowledge include: * Brings deep knowledge of scrum and the tools used to implement a highly effective development and support infrastructure; Recommends improvements to scrum development and support tools and processes; * Responsible for the build and deployment steps and processes for promotion of code and database changes to various development, test and production environments; Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with development group to resolve more advanced issues when necessary; * Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps; * Create and maintain high-quality documentation of all relevant specifications, systems, and procedures; * Diagnose, solve and provide root cause analysis for application, hardware, network, and O/S issues Supports the continuous integration environment; * Utilize configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an application; * Teach and transfer functional skill sets to DHW staff to allow sustainable operation after the project period. Specific Skills Required (Section C): * Configure and support the Hudson continuous integration environment * Utilize Subversion for code configuration management * Configure and support the Ubunto-based VMWare developer appliance * Support the Oracle database environment with supporting products, for example IFS * Configure and support the Watij automated regression test environment (or others automated testing tools) * Configure and support the WebLoad automated load testing environment (or other automated test loading tools) * Experience with PERL and other scripting languages * Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Desktop * Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Solaris Server operating systems Certification: Minimum Certified Scrum Developer, prefer Certified Scrum Professional or better.
