The resource will have day-to-day PC maintenance duties, field trouble tickets in the form of telephone calls, e-mail requests and electronic tickets, and take corrective action(s) to fix these requests. Note: It is a possibility DEQ will secure a suitable full-time replacement for the help desk position within the State Office before the estimated expiration of this PSO agreement; and in that case, this PSO may be terminated as early as that full-time employees start date. However, it is also a possibility a full-time replacement will not be identified/trained for the DEQ help desk position by the estimated PSO expiration date; therefore, DEQ reserves the right to amend/extend this agreement to ensure full/necessary continuance of IT help desk support until the resource is no longer required. Agency Expected Deliverables The resource will perform immediate action to fix problems with failed PC/Laptop/Tablet/Cell phone hardware. The resource will install and correct numerous software installs on 500 machines. The resource will help users with other network devices as needed. The resource will work with DEQ IT staff to perform network equipment installs such as cabling; and physical lifting of switching equipment. The resource will be required to install monitors in dual monitor configurations to include specialized hardware to support multiple screens. It is expected other similar duties will be assigned while the resource is on contract with DEQ. - The resources work will be directed by the DEQ IT/IS Senior Network Analyst. Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) Very Good knowledge of: - Windows desktop operating systems to include Windows 7 and Windows 10. - Microsoft Office installation, configuration, and user assistance. - Support desk software to include LANDesk, Spiceworks, or other similar software. - PC hardware assembly and repair. - Laptop hardware assembly and repair. - Printer connection, use and simple repair. Good knowledge of: - Local Area networks and network troubleshooting to solve PC problems. - Wireless connection configuration to support DEQ users and assist temporary users connecting to public wireless. - Application and file access policies and simple user permission assignment. - User password reset and active directory user maintenance.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
