Participate in the collection of the Functional Business Requirements B. Participate in the design, build, test and implementation of developed code modules for the enterprise C. Design and develop custom software systems in web based environments conforming to the States technical architecture. D. Develop a variety of front-end user interfaces to access multiple databases located within and outside of the department on multiple platforms including Microsoft and Linux. E. Software development utilizing the Java Programming language, Spring/Ibatis frameworks and the Eclipse programming environment F. Develop procedures to solve complex problems G. Development of Stored Procedures, triggers and Packages using the Oracle PL/SQL programming language H. Development of enterprise technical systems documentation I. Participation in code reviews Required Skills: A. Planning and organizing • Works independently and manages job with minimal supervision. Able to adapt work to unanticipated changes • Organizes and follows complex and/or detailed technical procedures B. Technical Knowledge • Competent to work on most phases of application systems analysis and programming without guidance • Uses theoretical understanding of technology to translate business needs into technical specifications C. Technical Solution Development • Devises or modifies applications to solve moderately complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations D. Technical support • Resolves routine and some non-routine problems • Spots trends in reoccurring problems and takes action to prevent future occurrences • Makes suggestions for technical modifications to prevent future problems E. Consultancy skills • Works with client to discuss alternative technical solutions • Consults with senior level decision-makers to discuss alternative technical solutions • Consults with clients and higher-level technicians and analysts to resolve technical problems and ensure client satisfaction F.
