We need a Python charmer who knows how to conjure restful microservices out of thin air while engaging in team collaboration on all aspects of design, testing, implementation, and operations. Responsibilities: Develop custom Python web-based applications. Collaborate with architects and developers on design and planning. Interpret high-level requirements and refine as agile-based implementation stories. Be a flexible team player willing to learn new things and teach others. Skills and Experience: 6+ years developing Python 3.0+ web applications (required). 4+years developing Django applications (highly preferred). 3+ years using dependency-injection design patterns. 3+ years developing RESTful APIs (via Django preferred). 2+ years using Gradle or PyGradle (preferred). Very strong communication and collaboration skills (required). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (required). Expertise applying 12-factor apps (12factor.net) and TDD, DI, DRY principles. Experience writing defensive code. Strong knowledge of web architecture and technologies (HTTP/S, AJAX, JSON, CORS, etc.). Ability to create elegant and well-documented code without over-engineering. Knowledge of Docker high-level architecture and deployment models preferred. Experience with Python static typing highly preferred. Experience with H2 or HSQLDB preferred.
