Job Description Engineer: QA, QTP, SQL, ETL SQL Server 200020052008

We are seeking senior level individuals that have experience in the healthcare experience.

Candidates MUST have the following to be considered
- Healthcare experience
- Extensive manual testing experience, as well as experience with QTP
- Experience with SQL programming (candidates will have to complete a SQL test during the interview)
- Experience with back end testing of SQL server databases
- Experience with ETL, T-SQL (Transact-SQL)

Overview:

The qualified candidate will join a team of 7 Quality Engineers to perform unit, regression, integration, and data warehouse testing. A large focus for the team will be back end testing working with SQL Server 2005, and SSRS 2008. They will coordinate user acceptance testing in order for the users to perform the testing on their own. The team primarily performs manual testing, but will be moving to automated testing using QTP. The team is currently using Quality Center for all bug tracking. The QA team member will participate in the business analysis and IT design & development phases, gaining a level of familiarity with the business requirements and technical design required to develop test cases, SQL code or QTP programs to perform testing during various phases of a project lifecycle.



Responsibilities:

· Design, develop and code SQL programs to execute backend tests.

· Design a comprehensive testing strategy as a part of IT Quality and Compliance department.

· Design, develop and maintain regression test beds and schedule test cycles.

· Design & build test suites. Leverage the testing process and test tool kit to create re-useable test assets.

· Implement QA process and testing automation projects to improve the overall testing cycle.

· Identify testable events and develop the test cases / test scripts.

· Identify and capture test data to support the test cases defined by the testing team.

· Report regression test results and analysis.

· Utilize appropriate testing tools.

· Participate in the development and support of the testing program aimed at supporting multiple testing efforts simultaneously.

· Be a part of an ongoing effort to bring new testing knowledge into the team.

· Assist with test strategy articulation, planning, and management of individual testing events.

· Act as one of the team representatives to IT and user groups within relevant test phases.

· Provide regular contributions to the test management reporting.

· Validate problem resolutions and software fixes as well as track issues and defects.

· Understand the business risk and implications of introducing new software or hardware into the production environment.



Required Experience:

· A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience with technical training, is required.

· Programmer level knowledge of SQL is required.

· 5-8 years of QA/Software Testing experience in large cross platform testing programs preferably in Database backend testing.

· Testing/Working experience with Healthcare IT and familiarity with healthcare IT terminology, business functions and processes.

· Very strong database experience in SQL server databases and proficiency in Transact SQL.

· Experience with deciphering complex SQL stored procedures is required..

· Experience working directly with business analysts, system analysts and developers for test requirement gathering.
