Job Description:
Installing, upgrading, and patching Oracle Database software in an IBM AIX environment with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Enterprise Manager, and GoldenGate.
Creating Oracle databases.
Developing and testing a backup and recovery strategy, backing up Oracle databases regularly, and recovering them in case of failures.
Configuring the network environment to enable clients to connect to databases.
Starting up and shutting down the database.
Managing storage for the database.
Managing users and security.
Work closely with Project Manager and ITS Managers on active/pending projects, Prepare Documentation.

Mandatory Qualifications:
60 - 84 Months - Responsible for data analysis and database management Maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning;
Candidate is able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
84+ months of experience installing, upgrading, and patching Oracle 10g or higher Database software in a Unix-like environment (e.g. AIX) using Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA). This must include all of: Oracle RAC, ASM and Data Guard.

other qualifications:
84+ months of experience using RMAN for backup and recovery of Oracle databases in MAA environment.
84+ months of experience monitoring and tuning databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g or higher or Oracle Cloud Control.
84+ months of experience investigating, gathering diagnostic data for, and reporting to Oracle Support Services any critical database errors.
36+ months of experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c (experience with prior versions of OEM will not be counted).
36+ months of experience with Oracle 10g or higher Golden Gate.
Oracle 10g or higher Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
Bachelors degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
