These two resources will eventually lead the Redis environment Not strictly a DBA because they want them to have a developer/architect mindset. They paid for the enterprise licensing for Redis. Requirements: -Redis – Developing reporting, monitoring, security modeling,stand up environment from scratch -Kubernetes – Platform sits on top of Kubernetes, but team is fine with them having different container experience like docker -Charters will be built on prem, but will take someone with cloud experience too. -MongoDB experience JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of production databases in compliance with application specifications and company policies, standards and procedures. Manages and maintains all production and non-production databases. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES Cluster\Scaling\Replication maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes Work with operations to deploy Redis updates, patches and version upgrades when required Performing the following operational tasks: Capacity planning: Aligning with the systems engineering team to propose and deploy new hardware and software environments required to ensure scalability and reliability Back-up/recovery processes Run maintenance tasks (e.g. upgrades) Applying security patches Monitoring performance of services Build tools, services, frameworks and interfaces to enable development teams to monitor, manage and operate code in production. Define best practices for how to best consume Data services technology Willingness to investigate and troubleshoot issues and make recommendations to improve system performance Provide tier N support for our development teams on supported technologies Provide tier N support for our customer support teams on supported technologies REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge 4-6 years of experience in In-memory data structure store administration with an emphasis on Redis Operational and administration experience with one of more technologies in a Cloud/SaaS environment is a plus: NoSQL databases such as MongoDB Relational databases such as MariaDB (MySQL) Message queues such as RabbitMQ Search and analytics engines such as Elasticsearch Experience performing system administration tasks on Linux and shell scripting Experience creating Continuous Integration pipelines (e.g. Team city, Concourse, Jenkins) Strong development/scripting skills using Chef, Ruby, Python, Java, JavaScript with the ability to pick up any language quickly. Familiarity with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications Familiarity with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) applications (e.g. Cloud Foundry, Heroku, etc) Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) applications (e.g. OpenStack, vSphere, Amazon Web Services, etc) is a plus Experience working with application development teams using a Micro Services / CQRS architecture preferred Willingness to learn new technologies Team player Detail-oriented Self-starter / self-directed Time management skills Verbal / written communication skills Research and analytical skills Education BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
