With a focus on digital software pipelines and deployments, you will collaborate closely with product leaders, and other stakeholders to align product milestones and deliver innovative digital applications and experiences. In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the companys digital transformation journey, and drive customer-centric innovation. Specifically, the Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the following: Create the foundational building blocks that will enable and accelerate the transition of the digital banking applications from private to public cloud. Create and maintain the design and foundational structure for the public cloud deployments within digital banking. Design and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions for app deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization. Collaborate with development teams to integrate tools, processes, and best practices into the app development lifecycle, from code commits to production deployments. Define and enforce app security practices, including code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and secure configurations for platforms and cloud services. Implement and manage cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Private Cloud) for app hosting, data storage, and backend services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. Lead the adoption of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for app environments, enabling consistent deployment and orchestration across development, testing, and production stages. Establish and monitor key performance metrics, logs, and analytics for apps, providing insights for continuous improvement in app quality, user experience, and resource utilization. Collaborate with dev teams to accelerate cloud migration. Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in app cloud, and evaluate their applicability to improve development processes and infrastructure. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including development teams, product managers, and IT operations, to align cloud initiatives with business goals, timelines, and priorities. Professional Qualifications Experience creating the foundational elements for a large scale private to public cloud transition and strategies on accelerating the movement of 100s of applications. Strong experience in implementing automation, and infrastructure management specifically for app development environments. Proficiency in cloud pipeline setup and maintenance Knowledge of app development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Spring, Node) and experience in migrating applicaiton using these platforms to public cloud. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Private Cloud, including services related to app hosting, data storage, serverless computing, and monitoring. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for managing app deployments at scale. Understanding of app security best practices, encryption standards, and secure coding guidelines for web, API, iOS and Android platforms. Knowledge of app authentication mechanisms, API security, and data protection requirements in accordance with industry standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, GDPR, HIPAA).
