A resource is needed to assist with engineering enhancements and extensions to our clients solution for detecting and reporting share permissions and access, which has been deployed across the cleints global Windows and Unix server estate. A skilled engineer is sought to assist with the engineering, testing and delivery of these product enhancements. The role will involve the following high-level tasks: Engineering and developing a third party COTS application solution running on Windows 2008 server with a MS-SQL database back-end in a development lab environment Extending the solution to implement Data Access Governance Evaluating additional components or products as necessary to provide additional features and capabilities not covered by the existing solution Developing integration with other systems including Identity and Access Management and GRC solutions Packaged delivery of application components Developing structured test plans and conducting full functional, performance and regression testing of server, database and agent updates; producing detailed written test results and associated documentation Liaising with the product vendor and internal SMEs on solution planning and delivery Producing engineering solution design and operational documentation Specific skills required: System-administrator/engineer level Windows Server expertise. Specifically: o deep understanding of Windows security, access controls and file system / share permissioning o ability to conduct performance monitoring, troubleshooting and debugging of issues Solid experience of MS SQL databases, including: o experienced in SQL development including both DDL and DML o an understanding of Oracle database structure will be a bonus Scripting skills in at least one of the following: Powershell, T-SQL, vbScript Unix experience is mandatory For internal use only Familiarity with MS Exchange and MS Sharepoint would be an advantage Experience of system integration and data exchange Sound understanding of TCP/IP networking Unix and Linux familiarity, in particular with SAMBA, NFS and NIS Understanding of ITIL and change management concepts and procedures Previous experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial, although not essential: Working in a large enterprise or financial organisation Engineering involvement in a major software delivery project Experience in design and engineering of IT infrastructure solutions Experience of Stealthbits products, Varonis DatAdvantage/DataPrivilege, Dell One Identity Manager and/or EMC/RSA Governor The position requires a methodical individual with the right skills and approach to design and engineer solutions with accurate and detailed technical documentation, to construct and implement structured test plans, and to work closely with teams delivering enhancements to the existing solution in   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
