Experience in troubleshooting SCCM logs and taking appropriate corrective action. rest of the description: Junior-Mid Level SCCM Engineer Position Summary: Responsible for corporate desktop engineering in both the physical and virtual space. Responsible for maintaining, securing, designing and improving the enterprise endpoint environment. This will include both physical and virtual desktop environments, mobile applications, patching, security, packaging and deployment. Key Activities include: Support of Day to Day 2007 and 20012 SCCM Operations, and image deployments. Publish and Advertise SCCM Packages/Advertisement and manage SCCM collections. Troubleshoot Task Sequences and deployments end-to-end. Experience in troubleshooting SCCM logs and taking appropriate corrective action. Strong understanding of Windows workstation operating systems from Windows XP through Windows 8.x Solid understanding of Active Directory including Organizational Units and containers Works closely with desktop architecture team to develop and implement desktop hardware, software, and service offerings. Works closely with desktop architecture team to recommend, test, package, and deploy all desktop software Solid understanding of patch management and deployment best practices. GREAT COMM SKILLS & PROFESSIONALISM Key Accountabilities: 1. Strategy and Planning Works with desktop architecture team, and IT project managers in support of business goals, researching and assessing desktop and device needs. Full end to end support of virtual desktop environment Recommend improvement opportunities to desktop management to achieve division goals and objectives and support cost effective project solutions 2. Implementation Works collaboratively with peers and partners to recommend solutions for financial savings without impacting desktop performance. Provide communication on a regular basis on desktop projects status and risks to stakeholders Strong understanding of the following technologies Active Directory, SCCM, Windows OS,VMWare View VDI Thin app App-v packaging methodologies, Patchlink, Wsus 3. Operational Management Previous experience with 3000 plus node environments Background and Experience BA or BS degree in technology, related field or requisite experience Minimum 2 years experience in area of end point management focusing on the desktop technology components of delivering on projects. Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple organization units, systems and/or technical components. Experience within healthcare and familiarity with the health care/managed care data model is a plus.
