The backlog for packaging requests has grown significantly and cannot be turned around with the limited number of resources capable of packaging on the team. This is a result of a combination of things, part of that being increased vulnerability remediation and increase in packaging requests due to standardization of developer workstation "images" . Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing desktop engineering and user support for customers of desktop-related services. The engineer will drive research and development, and standards in the areas of workstation technology; PC images, printers and LAN print delivery support, multi-function devices and peripherals that interface with PC hardware, and operating systems. This position is responsible for interfacing with systems engineers and information security teams to ensure desktops function correctly with Windows file and print servers, Microsoft Systems Management Server, and enterprise security applications such as McAfee. This position will be the primary person responsible for desktop/laptop images including applicable Ghost/Desktop Administrative functions. Job Responsibilities: 1. Design, build, test, implement, and maintain Premera standard enterprise images. 2. Develop and implement scripts to automate the deployment of all new desktop, laptops and Thin clients. 3. Establish, maintain, and document Premera workstation standards. 4. Build, test, implement, and support Group Policies affecting the standard client computer environment. 5. Creates, implements, and maintains IT Infrastructure documentation, including standards, processes and procedures. Provide detailed documentation, training, support, and production turnover for engineered solutions. 6. Provide DTS Level 3 support in regard to researching, resolving, and responding to business customer issues/problems/questions received email, telephone calls, callbacks, or escalations, and provide support on desktop systems, in accordance with current standards and SLAs. Provides superior software and hardware desktop equipment technical support, utilizing solid troubleshooting skills to drive to a resolution 7. Provides coaching to other DTS associates, assisting them in providing timely resolution to customer issues. Ensures that the Desktop Services Team Lead is kept aware of any incident where response/resolution targets are in danger of being missed. 8. Performs root cause and systems analysis following departmental standards and procedures. 9. Maintains open and continual communication with customers on requests and problem status. 10. Utilizes the designated call tracking system to receive, monitor and document daily work efforts. 11. Participates in and manages medium to large sized desktop-oriented projects. 12. Maintains relevant technical expertise, staying current with appropriate technology and trends. 13. Tests and evaluates software and hardware products in order to determine applicability and value to PBC operations. Documents test plans and results for all lab-related activities and evaluated technologies. 14. Performs/assists with special projects or other duties as assigned. 15.
