Scrum Masters do this by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. The Scrum Master is a servant-leader for the Scrum Team. The Scrum Master helps those outside the Scrum Team understand which of their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which arent. The Scrum Master helps everyone change these interactions to maximize the value created by the Scrum Team. Responsibilities: Work with Product Owners and Technical Leads to understand backlog content, and ensure Features and user stories are ready for work by Scrum Team Support program increment (PI) planning event by helping Scrum Team understand user stories allocated to planning increment and estimate team capacity as well as size of user stories Collaborate with Development team to identify technical tasks, Enabler Stories, and dependencies during the planning session; ensure team backlogs are ready so they can be pulled in, prioritized, and planned for the PI Load individual iterations with technical tasks and User Stories, in-line with Product Owner, Product Manager and Development team Manage dependencies and/or roadblocks by collaborating with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders Maintain Iteration backlogs ensuring all work items are properly assigned to team, reflect the correct status, and ensure accurate traceability to business user stories and any non-functional requirements Provide knowledge and history of work completed across Scrum Teams, and support prioritization for work that hasnt been completed Guide team toward continuous improvement (i.e., how work was conducted previously and adjustments to ensure ongoing success) Facilitate Scrum events as requested or needed. Ensure is ready for Team demos for end-of-sprint checkpoint review and associated reports; work with the Product Owner to prepare and perform the Team demo Provide overview of End-of-Iteration report Coach the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality Help the Development Team to create high-value products Coach the Development Team in organizational environments in which Scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization QUALIFICATIONS At least five (5) years of related experience required Demonstrated experience in iterative methodologies (Agile/Scrum)- leading Scrum meetings and developing Sprints, Product Backlogs, Burn Down Charts, and/or developing User Stories Strong technical writing and presentation skills In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle for implementing Enterprise level systems Understanding of the role of software development tools and processes such as version control, defect and issue trackers, build processes, team collaboration tools Experience working with many development teams (varied personalities and communication styles)   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
