This person will also define the technical specifications for underlying technologies (i.e., computing platforms, systems architecture, systems software and other utility tools), work with vendors and provide the required information to the stakeholders. This individual will also provide the leadership and technical guidance for the integrated set of applications from different groups to make them work together. Responsibilities include: • Developing new and/or retrofiting existing code base to integrate with new vendor application architecture. • Implementing and maintaining different existing document management applications as these applications are expanded to accommodate the business needs • Developing roadmaps that implement components of the existing application architecture • Assisting project teams with new component implementation • Identifying gaps in existing implementation and resolving issues as required • Conducting proof-of-concept exercises for add-on functionalities to the existing systems • Providing consulting services to individual projects regarding application architecture and development • Continuously improving the existing Document Management Applications and Processes • Creating detailed designs and interaction designs as needed • Conducting user research as needed • Collaborating closely with other architects and developers • Setting priorities and ensure task completion on multiple concurrent projects • Coordinating work activities with others • Developing plans and manage projects to meet short-term objectives • Maintaining an understanding of the healthcare industry and adapting to trends/needs within the industry • Working across other application groups within UnitedHealth Group to integrate with different cross applications What skills/attributes are a must have? • .NET/C# • ASP.NET/MVC • SQL queries with Oracle and MS SQL databases • Windows OS • Windows scripting • SOAP/RESTful Services • JSON, JQuery • XML: XPATH, XSLT, XQUERY, XSD (Schema), etc. • Build tools: Git, Jenkins, Maven What skills/attributes are nice to have? • Java (1.6, 1.7, 1.8) • Apache Tomcat • General document management knowledge • Experience at the server/infrastructure level including server administration   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
