Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments The PeopleSoft Consultant will perform the following Development activities: Applies specialized knowledge to conceptualize, design, develop, unit-test, configure, and implement portions of new or enhanced (upgrades or conversions) business and technical software solutions through application of appropriate standard software development life cycle methodologies and processes. Interacts with the client and project roles (for example, Project Manager, Business Analyst, Data Engineer) as required, to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction. Participates in cross-functional teams. Develops innovative team solutions to complex problems. Defines scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned components. Provides effort estimation for the technical tasks/assignment on the project. Completes development to implement complex components. Understands and uses appropriate tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business and technical problems. Applies metrics to monitor performance and measure key project parameters; prepares system documentation. Conforms to security and quality standards. Stays current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies. Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and uses approved technologies. The PeopleSoft Consultant will perform the following PeopleSoft Administrator activities: Establishes PeopleSoft system specifications by conferring with users; analyzes workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designs system infrastructure.
