Work would be to support development teams by providing guidance on data architecture principles and best practices. This work would involve participating in Agile development methodology to include story development and task completion. Additional work would involve creating, modifying and optimizing SSIS packages and stored procedures. This position is primarily focused on database development and not on the operational/infrastructure aspects of database administration. This position will require a fingerprint background check performed by ISP (Idaho State Police) any Felony or Misdemeanor Conviction will automatically terminate the PSO and the Contractors employee or subcontractor will not be allowed to work at ITD. Results can take up to 2 weeks, once ITD receives the results, the Contractor will be contacted with a start date. Required Skills: * Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 to current • Experience utilizing TSQL for maintenance and troubleshooting • Experience writing, maintain and optimizing SSIS packages • Experience writing, maintain and optimizing Stored Procedures • Experience in data architecture to include * Identifying existing data structures to be used in development * Optimizing existing data structures utilizing best practices * Deprecating duplicate or unnecessary data structures Desired Skills: • Preferred experience with programming in C# and .Net • Preferred experience in Agile Development • Preferred experience maintaining and utilizing source control systems such as Microsoft * Team Foundation Server (TFS).   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
