This project will be coordinated with the DHS child welfare program under the overall direction of the OBI Director. Contractor shall perform this work consistent with the requirements, specifications, and schedules set forth in the individual change order. * Contractors services will include, but are not limited to strategic planning, project management, system analysis, programming, bug fixes, enhancements, design reviews, code reviews, requirements validation, and comprehensive testing. * Contractor shall perform the Work using established DHS development, maintenance, and acceptance criteria methodologies. In the absence of established DHS methodologies, Contractor shall complete the Work according to methodologies and standards that conform to documentation standards, definitions, and recommended practices known to be generally accepted in the industry, (e.g. PMBOK) unless prior written authorization is obtained from DHS. * Contractor shall work onsite at the Human Services Building, 500 Summer Street NE, Salem, OR, 97301. Contractor may also work off-site with advance approval from the DHS OBI Director or designee. Required Skills: • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Integration Services (SSIS); • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services including: o Business Intelligence Development Studio Report Designer and Model Designer o Report Builder 2.0; • Five years experience in developing data models and reports; • The ability to facilitate meetings with business and technical staff to gather system details develop documentation; • The ability to analyze current DHS practices and recommend specific direction for DHS to achieve industry best practices; • Good verbal and written communication skills; • Attention to detail; problem solving ability; • Ability to deliver high quality work; • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively. Desired Skills: • Prior Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS) experience; • Direct experience working with TSQL and SQL Server databases; • Direct experience working with Department of Human Services client, eligibility and payment systems, preferably the child welfare OR-Kids system.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
