The resource will have day-to-day maintenance duties, perform system enhancements, and take corrective action(s) in the event of data loss or disaster recovery. Note: It is a possibility client will not transition to ITS for a suitable full-time replacement for the DBA position within the State Office before the initial expiration of this PSO agreement. In that scenario, this PSO may be extended to allow client to successfully transition to a full-time DBA employee at ITS. Criminal Background Check: Any contractor submitting a resource in response to this PSO solicitation must also provide a current (within the last 12 months) criminal background check for the identified resource with its proposal. This criminal background check must meet the requirements as outlined in the contractors Statewide Blanket Purchase Order award provided by the Idaho Division of Purchasing. Agency Expected Deliverables ~The successful resource will perform duties as directed by the client Financial Officer (or designee), including (but not limited to): - Maintain and Troubleshoot areas including: A. Scheduled Jobs… A.1 Backups A.2 Index Optimization A.3 Other (as identified) B. Linked Servers C. Stored Procedures D. STARS data transfer to/from Idaho SCO E. Addition/Modification/Deletion of billing codes used by client F. Support Financial personnel during Agency Budgeting period G. Perform Fiscal Year rollover for all financial data systems and applications - Preventative and corrective maintenance - Query Optimization - Security Administration - Database Development - SQL Server Administration - Implementing Best Practices - Performance Tuning - Training other DBA personnel - Interacting with developers and other pertinent client and ITS staff - Designing, Constructing, and Publishing SSRS Reports - Enforcing policy with regard to data access - Attending staff meetings when required - Aiding in the transition of responsibilities to ITS when appropriate - Other DBA-3 duties/services as-assigned by the client Financial Officer (or designee) ~Relation of Parties: The duties and services rendered under the agreement resulting from this PSO are those of an independent contractor. client is interested only in the quality of the duties and services performed/provided and the successful fulfillment of the job requirements. The conduct and control of the work performed by the resource, although directed by the client Financial Officer (or designee), will be the sole responsibility of the resource. The resource is not an officer, employee, or agent of client, and is not entitled to any benefits provided by client to its employees.
