Overview Our client seeks to plan and deliver the technical architecture for secure and consistent data quality assessment, movement, consolidation, and analytics to support effective and data-driven decision making, operations, and strategy. Enterprise Information Technology Services is partnering with our client to launch the Analytics Center of Excellence. This will involve new integrations in terms of the data sources and data services and build new technical capabilities and expertise. In January 2021, two new analytics projects were launched underneath the administrative and education mission: a faculty lifecycle from recruiting to retirement and upcoming re-accreditation for a degree program through the Liaison Committee. For both projects, in the current state, data is sourced from disparate locations, varying technologies (30-40 data sources and software systems between the two), and analysis is often manual, labor intensive, and inefficient. Both projects are fast paced, complex, high stakes projects are that foundational to major priorities. Taking an agile development approach, project sponsor the Associate CIO for other senior stakeholders will be actively engaged in a regular cadence of discussions to define the scope, sequence of data families, the data platforms, and review deliverables and new features on a rolling basis. Position Scope Reporting to the Data Governance Manager, the Project Manager will organize, manage, track, and expedite key activities related to the development of the data platform being launched to serve the highest administrative leadership tier: Serves as primary liaison between the ITS project team and the sponsors, ensuring information flows and goals align between the two. Consolidates and escalates items to be dispositioned by the Sponsor and/or ITS Senior Leader. Creates and maintains project charter, Gantt chart, project plan, aligned with scope changes and milestones. Delivers comprehensive project management support to Analytics Sponsors, including coordination, meeting scheduling, meeting notes, identifying and tracking resources and effort, other documentation (e.g., progress reports), and communication with project advisors and team members. Coordinates reporting and analytical activities and may assist in creating basic f low diagrams in PowerPoint or Visio or in basic data analysis using Excel or Power BI. Reviews defects with technical quality assurance team and functional partners. Required Skills & Technologies Project Management: Direct the activities and manage technical projects through the project lifecycle. Develop project plans, manage milestones and risks to drive projects forward. Accountable for keeping all projects on track. Anticipate project issues/risks and lead collaboration to avoid or manage problems. Demonstrated experience leading through full project lifecycle, including Agile methodologies.
