Job Description Administrator: Citrix Server, MYSQL Database, Splunk, Puppet Linux

Description :

Linux Administrator


Experience:
o 3 years administration experience in a Linux environment supporting high volume web sites
o Experience with RedHat Enterprise or CentOS operating systems
o Experience with Apache/Tomcat in a production environments

Skills:
o Citrix Xen Server virtualization experience in a production environment
o Experience with highly available MySQL database configurations
o Experience with Nagios and Splunk associated monitoring tools
o Experience with Puppet and associated configuration management tools


Additional Responsibilities:
o Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications
o Research and apply available security patches to all systems
o Provide daily administrative support on all Linux systems
o Provide daily administrative support for networking equipment used to deliver Linux based applications
o Maintain existing and develop new operational procedures to increase application availability
o Maintain existing and develop new backup strategies to ensure data availability
o Maintain and extend monitoring and alerting frameworks
o Maintain and extend configuration management procedures and applications
o On-call support 24x7x365 operational needs including after hours


Education:
o BA/BS Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
o RHCE certification
