We are looking for top engineering talent as we design, build and migrate the platform to the cloud. The role involves working in and across agile teams, in a highly collaborative and engaging environment and being adaptable to shifting priorities. The Expertise Were Looking For Expert (4+ years experience) in building and deploying cloud solutions on AWS Experience with AWS offerings such as EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch and others Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Shell, Python, Go, etc. Strong Linux systems knowledge Experience with CI/CD practices, delivery pipelines and deployment automation tools and solutions (Git, Jenkins, Chef, etc.) As a software engineer, delivering software using agile development practices Experience in n-tier / service oriented applications (SOA) 4+ years of back-end java development experience Experience in Spring, Restful Web services, JMS, Maven Experience with networking and firewall concepts and troubleshooting Knowledge of cloud based security principles Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes is a plus Knowledge of Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Concourse is a plus AWS Certification is a plus Excellent communication & presentation skills Very hands-on – 80% coding & 20% overseeing others work The Purpose of Your Role Your role as a Cloud Engineer is to oversee as well as to contribute to the development and migration of asset management applications to the cloud. You will be building pipelines that provision, deploy and monitor application stacks that comprise enterprise applications for the Asset Management business. The Skills You Bring You are a strong contributor with a collaborative work style You are a cloud expert and can design and manage cloud solutions using software as a service platforms on AWS. You understand the various offerings on AWS and can both recommend as well as implement solutions You understand and value automated testing and code analysis tools, and have worked in an environment where adherence to code quality standards part of the deployment pipeline You have worked on SCRUM / Agile teams You can accurately measure and track the performance of components throughout development and troubleshoot degradations in performance You have experience using and configuring continuous integration and continuous delivery products, preferably Jenkins You have an understanding of both synchronous programming models such as REST over HTTP and asynchronous programming models and messaging frameworks such as Kafka and EMS. You understand best engineering practices and have an aptitude to coach and mentor junior engineers.
