Description :

Java Developer
The Department of Technology Services (DTS) Unit assigned to the Utah Department of Corrections (UDC) and the Board of Pardons and Parole (BOPP), is in need of supplementing its in-house development staff with one or more contracted application development web programmer. This immediate need exists due to a continuing heavy demand from both agencies for system modifications and enhancements to the O-TRACK (Offender Tracking) System, other offender-based web applications and supplementary administrative systems.

The contracted position is to work, as part of the programming unit team in fulfilling programming requirements primarily in the O-TRACK system. It may have assignments in other web applications, and may provide support to either UDC or BOPP. These requirements are projected to extend for between three to five years. Project management and business analysis are provided by in-house staff. Contractors will work ON SITE at the UDC Administration Building in Draper, Utah using agency provided equipment and development tools.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• Advanced JAVA, Spring, Struts experience.
