Job Description :

Senior SQL Developer

This is a pivotal role in our IT Product Applications team! You will have the opportunity to provide application development support by analyzing business requirements to develop appropriate systems solutions according to specifications.



This position requires a technical aptitude for evaluating, developing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting systems and procedures that are cost-effective and improve work efficiency. Additionally, you will collaborate with senior developers to ensure that the application meets company service level standards and roadmap requirements.



Heres what youll do:

Production Support (~ 50% of time)

· You will work closely with our Operations team to monitor production systems

· Partner with our Systems Analyst team to fix and provide solutions for production issues



Release / Project Support (~ 50% of time)

· Handle estimates for candidate Enhancement and Defect work to be included in a release

· Analyze end-user needs and design, test, and develop software to satisfy demand as well as translate business requirements in functional and non-functional system requirements

· Develop technical workflows using different modeling techniques including UML

· Work with database administrators to design relational databases

· Build design and coding standards to ensure consistency across applications

· Improve the performance of applications via load and stress testing

· Support ad-hoc data analysis

· Document code and tools developed

· Partner with IT Operations to ensure successful deployment of solutions



We require individuals who have:

· Solid knowledge of SQL Server, including SQL Server 2016

· Experience with both Waterfall and Agile SDLC processes

· Solid grasp of business processes and how technology can enhance and improve these processes

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Strong programming and design skills

· Proficient communication, planning, problem solving, trouble shooting, and organization skills

· Analytical and detail oriented



Additional technical experience preferred:

· XML, JSON and Web Services

· Experience manipulating large datasets across heterogeneous systems

· Experience with data integration technologies and solutions

· Experience with ETL Technologies

· Experience with Data Replication, service broker, and queue processing technologies



This is how you qualify:

· Hold BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.

· Show us 3+ years development experience in supporting and implementing SQL Server

· Show us development skills with TSQL, SSIS, and .NET framework

· Other development experience in C/C#/C++, PowerShell, Java, Perl, PHP, Python, and Linux shell scripting are a plus.
