The primary responsibility of this position is to provide Web Infrastructure Administration & Support for a large Java Application Hosting environment. Person will be familiar with supporting Java Application Servers (Required WebLogic. Preferred - Tomcat, Jboss) and Web Servers (Apache HTTPD) in an enterprise environment. Job Responsibilities Responsible for ongoing management & support for Web Servers & Java EE Application Servers per process/practices Participate in design & implementation of applications web infrastructure (including installation, provisioning, patching, application deployment) Support Application Migrations, Releases, Disaster Recovery Responsible for on-going recommendations and best practices, as applicable, for Process Optimization, Business Continuity and High Availability as applicable. Participate in Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis & performance tuning of Java Application Servers & Web Server Ensure relevant documentation or wikis are updated Participate in On Call support if required Basic Qualifications Bachelors Degree & 7 years of IS experience Or Masters Degree & 5 years of IS experience And Solid understanding & experience in administering Java Application Containers (WebLogic/Jboss/Tomcat) Experience in data center migration Hands on automation experience Understanding of Linux or UNIX OS, Network Protocols (TCP/IP,HTTP), Network Storage (NAS), Load Balancers, LDAP Well versed with scripting (E.g. Bash, Python) Familiarity in navigating Java Code, looking at thread dumps Understanding of Clustering, JMS, JDBC, basic SQL Experience or understanding of SSL configuration, Single Sign On Ability to take initiative, multi-task & be detail oriented Work independently and be resourceful Good collaborator & strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST) Experience with Continuous Integration/Automated Application Release Tools. Knowledge of SVN or git Background in Systems Engineering or DevOps Experience with one or more IaaS (OpenStack, Euclyuptus, AWS) or PaaS (OpenShift, Docker, Heroku) Knowledge of Java Application Monitoring (Oracle Enterprise Manager, Wily etc).
