Description: This is a great role for someone who enjoys learning new tools and being a key part of change and growth within cross-functional teams. This position will sit on this clients Point of Sale Engineering team that supports all of the code being released to the 10,000 + stores in North America. This person will be a liaison between the POS team and another software engineering team. You will be gathering requirements and partnering with the development team to show them what is and isnt working when they do their releases to the stores. This may involve presenting findings, building a dashboard, doing root cause analysis, talking directly with the stores to troubleshoot all with the goal of reducing the number of issues that occur when they release the new code updates. Overview Gathers, and documents business requirements to support the design and development of technology and/or process solutions. Leverages relevant processes, technology, and subject matter experts to propose appropriate solution options. Clearly communicates issue resolution. Performs application maintenance and system configuration in support of solution delivery initiatives. Team: The Starbucks Production Controller is part of the Mobile Order/Digital Flywheel ecosystem. It connects the digital platform to the physical store and controls the order fulfillment queue. It is used by Baristas to assist in preparing and delivering order to Starbucks customers. It is also a major enabler for recently launched new services – example – UberEats Day-To-Day: Come up with a plan for software deployments Working on metrics gathering for releases and KPI measurements Analyzing the data based on monitoring tools Documenting and writing knowledge based articles Operational reports Contacting stores so communication will be huge Writing RCAs Site visits to deploy or understand what is happening within the store s- mainly within Seattle Work with cross functional internal and external technology teams Supports on call rotation – part of 24 x 7 support escalation teams. Support release / implementations by creating change request, channel copy request forms and works closely with Retail POS Dev team. Gathers metrics for these implementations / releases Identify and provide for requirements for new / enhanced support tools Analyze data by extracting and analyzing monitoring tools (example includes Splunk / Tableau). Able to use query tools Documents and writes Knowledge base articles for releases for Enterprise help desk Create support documents (Training for within Ops team, Tier 3 support, how to use support tools, create DM jobs) Compiles / create operational reports based on Key performance indicator (Analyst will be provided with these KPI to report against) Compile and creates Root cause analysis reports (RCA) Supports tool recommendations Support team by performing site visits for troubleshooting purposes. Supports configuration management of routing dashboards / admin user interface, splunks etc Requirements: SQL Querys languages Cloud – Azure on this team .NET Any query language, MS Excel, MS Word, Knowledge of Cloud (Azure ) is a plus.
