Job Description :

DICE Platform Improvement (JIRA):

The purposed resource owns the process of managing the Jefferson Licensed server instance of Atlassians Jira, with the intention of increasing usage by expanding capabilities and improving the platforms performance. The Immediate goal is to access the need to modify System Administration and User Settings. In addition to make recommendations for baseline usage across the various use cases currently in practice



Identification of Department Need:

Usage of both the Confluence and Jira platforms continue to gradually increase across the enterprise for both individual and department level use. In efforts to ensure continuity of platform on boarding, performance and support it is necessary to engage a knowledgeable resource with direct hands-on experience with the software.



A dedicated deep dive assessment is necessary in order to determine the actual concentration of needs. Based on the findings of such an exploratory assessment, Jira standardization will be implemented. Platform optimization is then necessary to put parameters in place in order to yield the best performance results.

Role Requirements and Responsibilities:

Serves as Lead Administrator and Subject Matter Expert of Jira software, Jira Service Desk, and other related items.
Responsible for user management, system maintenance, and third party add on acquisition/maintenance.
Assesses business needs to create functional and technical requirements documents, use case diagrams, and system templates.



Resource Requirements:

Serves as Lead Atlassian Certications (Jira, Confluence) highly preferred
Competency in Jira server software and other project managers solutions.
Technical proficiency in basic computer literacy, database structure and application management
Proven experience in process management
Excellent documentation skills
Ability to communicate with stakeholders
