Job Description Analyst: Data Profiling, Teradata, Data Mapping, ETL IBM Data Architect Data Analysis

Data Analyst who will measure and manage the quality of data requirements and data analysis work products. He or she promotes reusable processes and work products and builds common understanding.

Position Requirements:

Strong skills in data profiling, data mapping, reference data translations, building business and technical data extraction rules and data modeling.
Strong DB SQL skills is a must (preferably Oracle, MS SQL Server, Teradata). Experience in working with Informatica (Developer or PowerCenter) and IBM Data Architect is big plus.
Hands-on experience in creating/updating conceptual/logical and physical data models most appropriately needed to satisfy the business requirements.
Should be able to understand and explain complex data integration and extraction/transformation/load processes (ETL).
Should be able to work with Business, Architects & Requirements Analysts to define & document Data Specific Requirements on Data centric projects
Should be competent in reviewing Project Initiation or Business Scope Document
Should be able to work with Business and Architects to identify Pain points impacting data capabilities.
Should be able to establish program/project specific Data Analysis approach.
Should be competent at Source-Target Data mapping, S/T Record building/ Join conditions, writing transformations building data lineage.
Should be able to conduct Peer Reviews.
Should ensure data analysts (and other data leads, as necessary) are following standard work and best practices.
Should ensure data work products being produced are at the level of quality.
Should be able to perform skill uplift and coach. Experience in managing a small team of analysts or developers would be a plus.
Candidate should be able to connect and communicate with people at all levels.
Critical thinking, excellent communication, detail oriented, team first attitude, creative and adaptive.

Desired:

Experience working in an Agile environment using Lean, Kanban and Scrum practices is a plus.
Candidate should possess intermediary visualization techniques (Tableau, any BI tool etc.) skills and report generation necessary for the presentation of data to communicate to stakeholders, such as business partners and technical team, the conclusions and recommendations based on the state of the data being analyzed would be a plus.
Experience in managing a small team of analysts or developers would be a plus.
Candidate having Insurance and Financial domain experience would be a plus.
