Description: Responsibilities will include: Writing Teradata SQL queries to pull data to answer adhoc business questions, if the information requested is not already available in one of our existing production MicroStrategy (MSTR) reports. If information is present in MSTR, you will need to navigate to the appropriate report and pull the info and show the user how to self-serve next time onwards. Maintaining BI Metrics Library with accurate business (functional) and technical (SQL) definitions of metrics and attributes and then compiling them to comprehensive Key Operating Metrics (KOM) documents. Capturing clear cut reporting requirements from Supply Chain or Customer Operations business users (VP level) by asking smart, actionable questions. Writing source to target mapping documents to translate functional into technical requirements. Collaborating with BI Architect to design end to end BI solution for the requirements gathered. Validating the BI solutions (tables or reports) to ensure they are accurate in data and meet functional requirements. Conducting UAT sessions, getting business VP sign off and delivering final BI products in Teradata / MSTR Production. Troubleshooting data discrepancies in Production BI reports / tables and providing simple yet thorough explanations or coordinating appropriate fix with developers.
