The department manages MassDOT website design and content to ensure that the sites are consistent with MassDOTs branding and communications strategy. The department is responsible for setting and following policies, based on best practices that maintain a consistent look and feel and insure the usability and accessibility of the sites. The department is also responsible for coordinating with other IT departments for technical support of the Websites and content. The Web Content Coordinator will work closely with the Manager of Digital Services to oversee the development, maintenance and quality of Website content, including organizing, writing, editing, and proofreading site content and development of multi-media content. The incumbent will develop relationships with staff across MassDOT in order to build extensive institutional knowledge of MassDOT and its initiatives, as well as user behavior, in order to communicate the organizations objectives to MassDOTs audiences online.
