Job Description Engineer: Unix/Linux, J2EE/JEE, IBM Websphere Application, Shell Scripting TCPIP LDAP DNS PERL SSL

We are looking for a Unix/JEE Infrastructure (IBM WebSphere) Engineer
The engineer will work closely with development to integrate infrastructure with application development and provide engineered solutions for the operational support and maintenance of the WebSphere environment on global UNIX/Linux environments running Solaris 10 and Redhat 5.x. The individual should have a computer science or engineering degree, LINUX/UNIX engineering experience, Experience with WebSphere Administration and Monitoring, strong programming and scripting ability, familiarity with Java-based application environments, and excellent communication skills. As the role will entail a significant amount of project management, demonstrated experience in this area is a plus.

May act as a team lead and/or to lead projects from technical perspective. Develops and manages project charters, budgets and plans for complex projects. Assists in the identification, reporting, & resolution of risks and issues as well as mitigation plans. Assists in developing & executing release plans. Interacts with the technical teams & business teams to ensure necessary activities are completed Develops and implements project communication plans. Participates in cross program project reviews and planning.
Qualifications:
Experience in a 24X7 production environment Unix operating systems including Solaris 10.RedHat Linux experience supporting Websphere and/or Tomcat.
Experience in IBM WebSphere Architecture and Design for Enterprise scale deployments.
Experience configuring IBM WebSphere Service Integration Bus (SIB) topologies.
Experience configuring IBM WebSphere JMS Queue Factories and Queues.
Experience integrating IBM WebSphere with IBM WebSphere MQ.
JEE container Enterprise level Planning, Analysis and ImplementationProficient with SSL termination and SSL certificates.
Server and application monitoring.
Understanding of a multi tier infrastructure design.
Hands on knowledge of operating systems and server technologies
Should have knowledge of industry hardware types and interoperability; should have a basic understanding of application software.
Capable of Performance assessment and troubleshooting performance issues.
Should have performed system recoveries, participate and lead DR events
Maintained server availability for sites and test redundant failover.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Resolve help desk and Service Center escalation problem experience
Project Management experience leading implementation and deployment
Problem solving, Bridge incident participation and ability to work with customer
Understanding of NAS
Good interpersonal and communication skills
TCP/IP, NFS, NIS, DNS, LDAP and Performance Monitoring
Experience with shell scripting ksh or Perl. Writing scripts is required.
