This role will interact directly with other members of the Virtualization teams, OS administrators, and developers to assist in the ongoing day-to-day management of the environment. They will be expected to regularly exercise independent judgment, as well as a high level of analytic skill in solving complex technical problems for the client in the Virtual Infrastructure. Note: No remote work. Candidate must be onsite in Eagan, MN. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience with VMware management in a large enterprise, including troubleshooting, and working with network and storage Candidate must have to following technical skills: o VMware Certified Professional 5 Certification o 3+ years of experience supporting HP blade hardware o 3+ years of experience supporting Windows and/or Linux o 1+ years of experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager o 1+ years of experience with VMware Horizon View o 1+ years of experience with VMware vCloud Director o 1+ years of experience with VMware vCloud Automation Center Relevant virtualization experience in enterprise environments An understanding and ability to add meaningful input to technical design and architecture discussions Experience creating and maintaining project plans and monitoring/notifying of critical failures or potential missed milestones Uses incident and change management procedures Provides action plan for resolution of any/all faults detected Provides documentation of all solutions to problems and document all application guidelines and issues Develops recommendations and procedures for implementation of new hardware/software products, suitable for presentations Preferred Qualifications This position does not necessarily require a specific technical focus within the virtualization space, however experience with VMware View and/or VMware vCloud Director (now VMware vRealize) is a bonus Follows the appropriate quality assurance program Provides on-site system or application support for deployment/installation as required Creates and edits computer based documentation and trouble ticket systems to document equipment configurations, track changes and problems, and compiles performance data Maintains leadership qualities and attitude Additional Provisions Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check. Once candidates resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process. If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance. All candidates must be a US Citizen, have permanent residence status (green card) or H-1B Visa). Cannot have more than 6 months cumulative outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.) All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative. Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time. The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
