In addition, it is desirable for the successful candidate to be effective at documenting a standard project management approach/framework for use with these projects and as a standard for all Procurement system wide technology projects in the future. Core responsibilities: * Partner with project sponsor to lead project planning and initiation, including development of objectives, scope, and key milestones. * Facilitate process mapping, functionality reviews, or other analysis activities to support design and requirements development. * Partner with subject matter experts (business and technology teams) to validate feasibility and alignment of business and technology requirement. * Develop and maintain detailed project plans and artifacts, including diligent process for tracking changes and approvals. * Track and resolve open items, risks, and issues. * Manage all project communications to key stakeholders including senior management, suppliers and project teams. * Partner with change management resource to ensure effective transition planning, including user acceptance testing, training, and communication plans are executed. * Gain agreement on, and document a repeatable project management approach/framework along with associated tools/artifacts. Requirements: * Expert knowledge of and applied project management methodology and practice, including waterfall, agile, and scrum. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills. * Successful experience working within a matrixed reporting environment. * Demonstrated ability to lead and direct cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables and results are within plans. * Excellent written and oral communications and presentation skills for wide range of audiences. * Strong relationship building, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel in a large organization. * Ability to quickly gain business process knowledge of campus financial and procurement operations. * Ability and willingness to travel to campus locations in support of program objectives. * Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and tasks. * Expert knowledge in MS Office suite, project management tools and Sharepoint. Education, Training and Experience Preferred: * Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. * Minimum 7 years of experience leading enterprise technology implementations in project management function. * Experience in organizations comparable to UC in terms of budget, size, complexity, and scope of operations. * Project Management certification or related advanced training. * Experience with SciQuest suite of sourcing, procurement, and contract management applications experience with other procurement software may be acceptable. * Experience in the education space is also ideal. * Experience with communications and knowledge management tools such as Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, WordPress, Cascade.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
