Assists with first and second level support of a continuously operational production environment. 4-6 years Reason the role is open: · This position is to support new Citrix environment being built to provide 500+ virtual desktops to Nestle alliance partners. Resource will be required for 18 months while Nestle transition is going on and new Citrix environment is live. · The team is about 3 people they report directly to the Director at this point, will be hiring a manager shortly. · Day to day get tasks from the Lead, managing the cloud apps, Citrix environment. The reason they have this need is for Nestle they had to create a new environment where Starbucks partners are converting to Nestle partners. They need more support on their team for this new transition. Typical work day: · Provides technical support/system administration for large enterprise Citrix environment with components such as NetScaler, XenDesktop, XenApp, and Microsoft Application Virtualization. · Analyzes performance data to provide capacity planning and resource utilization information in support of operational processes. · Analyzes, plans, tests, documents and implements regular, advanced or special maintenance activities of system hardware and software to meet service level agreements with user groups. · Provides third-level production support for Citrix environment, including after-hours on-call support. · Will also take on other Citrix opportunities for the team, not just for the Nestle team. Citrix is the big part of the team. Regular working hours, sometimes there are after work hour hours needed, there are some on call responsibilities. No overtime is expected. Some flex hours and remote eventually if they can prove themselves. · There will be tickets that come to the que and there will be defined tasks, the team meet on Monday and decide the tasks for the week that need to be completed and who will start with what. Its all prioritized, this person will need to be able to not sit with one tasks if its stuck, they need someone who is always getting the next tasks and completing them in a timely manner. · Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition · Its a very unique opportunity for how large the Citrix environment. Required skills: · Someone who “lives and breathes” Citrix in their current role · Experience with building and maintaining large enterprise Citrix remote access deployments - 5 years · Experience with server, desktop, and application virtualization technologies – 5 years · Experience with understanding of SDLC and application architecture – 5 years · Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting system problems in a complex, heterogeneous systems environment - 3 years Interview process: Straight to in-person for local candidates – OK with Skype interview for non-local.
