Job Description:
Database Developer for large data warehouse. This person will work within a team of analytics consultants, systems analysts, database developers and system administrators providing Production Support, Application Integration, Integration Engineering, and Code Management for an Oracle/PLSQL based Data Warehouse with a heavy emphasis on SSRS, SSIS and SSAS.

Job Roles:

Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the organizations databases.
Consults with and provides guidance to database users and client groups, often recommending tactical and strategic solutions.
Performs moderately complex server-class database activities across various platforms and environments including one or more of the following: business requirement identification and analysis; conceptual, logical, and/or physical database design; data modeling and/or mapping; moderate to complex programming and coding to automate and/or support the database environment; performance monitoring and tuning; analyzing database metrics and assisting with capacity planning; planning, testing, configuration and execution of installations, upgrades and migrations; and implementing security controls.
May participate in the development of data/ database architectures and management policies, procedures and standards
Provides 24/7 technical support for production incidents.
Leads the resolution of complex issues or escalates as needed to meet established service level agreements.
Completes required logs and reports.
Updates and completes documentation, procedures and user guides.
Understands BCP, quality assurance, information security and compliance requirements for supported areas and analyzes changes for risk to the environment.
Participates in testing and environment validation efforts.
Participates in overall systems testing for interfacing systems of record.
Leads the migration of data warehouse changes to production.



Minimum Qualifications:

Oracle: Oracle Database Development with SQL and PL/SQL, , able to write complex stored procedures and functions in PL/SQL , knowledge on indexes and performance tuning in oracle
Oracle: PL/SQL MDX : Expert in MDX language, must be able to write complex MDX queries.
SSRS: Design, Develop and maintain reports and reporting infrastructure (Knowledge on SSRS webfarms).
SSIS: Build complex SSIS packages and troubleshoot execution error,
SSAS: Design and build complex data cubes in SSAS 2008, expert in dimensional modeling star schema and snowflake schema (facts and dimensions) using Kimball methodology. Must be able to design aggregation plans, partitions and perspectives for cubes.
Must have knowledge in SSAS security
Knowledge of .Net language is preferred.
Familiarity and experience operating in an Enterprise environment using formal procedures and policies required for escalation and outage resolution.
Strong documentation skills.
Strong knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC)
Well organized and proficient with details,
Excellent interpersonal and team skills
Self directed and motivated.
Able to navigate through a rapidly changing business and technical environment.
