Job Description Developer: WebSphere, Java EE, JSP Experience, DB2 SQL Spring Batch Frameworks Web Serv

Description:

IT is seeking candidates for Java Developer contract (6 months) in Roseville, CA. The position will perform detailed technical and advisory functions for WebSphere / Java EE based applications. The position will coordinate the analysis and programming functions required to enhance, convert, and/or develop systems applications of moderate difficulty utilizing Java EE and WebSphere technologies.



Key Job Duties:

· Perform system design tasks of moderate complexity, developing system design documents for use in the coding and testing of system applications in the WebSphere / Java EE environment.

·Develop systems designs and proceeds with program/object coding, testing and coordinates moving into production.

· Create design documents, and develop business logic utilizing JSP (Java Server Pages), DB2 access using standard connection protocols and the Spring Batch Framework or similar;

· Utilize various languages including Java, Web services, XML, Unix Shell scripting and COBOL for program development and troubleshooting.

· Develop Java programs using RAD/Eclipse. Develop SQL and SQL stored procedures in DB2.

· Develop and conduct program tests using JUnit; develop test plans and data and perform testing to verify the programs function correctly and ensure that modifications have not caused error in other parts of the program, interfacing programs and interfacing systems.

· Review and analyze JAVA EE programs to gain a detailed understanding of the implementation of the underlying business functions. Identifies problems and documents problem definitions.

Job Requirements:

· 5 years of experience in Java development for large, web-based applications systems. Experience in developing ERP based solutions is preferable.

·Knowledge of IT concepts and principles, theories and functions of computer systems, and principles and techniques of Information Technology documentation.

·Knowledge of methods, procedures and techniques of conducting studies for system conversions and enhancements, including the use of structure, behavior, and interaction diagrams in the analysis and design of web-based systems.
