Responsibilities include design, development and support. Team member will lead the most complex or critical data/database management initiatives that typically involve multiple cross functional business groups. This persons responsibilities will include database architecture, design, hands-on programming, integration, and data modeling. Part of day to day duties includes on-going communication and collaboration with development, quality assurance, line of business and other support departments in the organization. The candidate will be expected to work comfortably in a diverse and virtual environment. Responsibilities include the following: · Provide technical expertise and lead the coding of Oracle related backend development project enhancements and maintenance changes · Designing highly complex logical and/or physical data models; lead highly complex data modeling, mapping and integration activities · Collaborate with application Java development team to incorporate customizations and enhancements · Contribute to functional specification design (FSD) and prepare low level design (LLD) technical specifications · Lead data management strategies with respect to ETLSs, batch processing, data warehouse/marts, record retention and archiving · Perform on-going database analysis, tuning and streamlining of existing large, complex queries and data structures · Drive database performance and scalability optimization, including enhanced partitioning, materialized views and compression strategies · System integration testing and test data support · Maintain and optimize existing PL/SQL procedures and packages · Maintain systems documentations and data loading procedures Basic Qualifications Candidate must have a minimum of 5+ years Oracle data application development and implementation experience. Minimum Qualifications · 7-10 years of experience in design and implementation of complex Oracle database application · 6+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL · 2+ years of experience in advanced PL/SQL techniques in a 10g\11g environment · Expertise in SQL tuning · Expertise in writing Unix Shell Scripts · Familiarity with Perl and ability to modify existing Perl Scripts · Experience programming PL/SQL batch environment · Strong analytical skills · Expertise in production support on an Internet /customer facing application · Strong knowledge and use of development, methodologies, standards and procedures · Ability to multi-task across concurrent project tasks · Excellent written and verbal communications skills · Highly motivated self-starter who solves problems with a business centric view · Excellent team player · Thorough understanding of performance analysis fundamentals and tuning techniques Preferred Skills · BS/BA degree in Computer Science · 5+ years of experience working with ETL and data warehouse platforms (e.g. Informatica, Oracle Warehouse Builder) · 5+ years data warehouse and data mart experience · Experienced in the use of Oracle tuning tools such as HP OEM, EXPLAIN PLAN, SQL Trace, TOAD and tkprof · Experience with Universal Connection Pooling · Prior involvement in J2EE application development · Experience with both UNIX and Linux Operating systems   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
