Specific Required Skills
Looking for the candidate capable to work from day one to serve as a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) able to analyze, develop and implement an infrastructure strategy for existing and new Test environments for midrange and mainframe platforms. These environments comprise of Unit, Integration, Systems, and Acceptance Test. The candidate should have strong experience with UNIX, CICS, and MQ, as well as an understanding of POWER Unix servers.

Tasks:
1. Provide daily technical support for the renovation of the existing environments.
2. Provide support to application development staff with architecture, development and migration of WebSphere and MQSeries applications.
3. Provide support for Test and Production outages.
4. Provide support for application upgrades.
5. Perform system backups.
6. Create all necessary documents and communicate to the team in support of the projects.
7. Assist with problem analysis and resolution
8. Analyze and recommend improvements to support Environment Management and Configuration Management process initiatives.
9. Implement reports and automation to manage and monitor the environments
10. Attend meetings to provide technical analysis / support.
11. Provide Production Environment and Infrastructure support for the Project.
12. Support to maintain environments and infrastructure.
13. Create all necessary documents and communicate to the team in support of the project.
14. Provide pre and post implementation support for Test and Production environments.
15. Conduct training and knowledge transfer on new environments with FTEs.
16. Other duties as assigned.

General Required Skills:
1. The internal drive, intellectual curiosity, ability to learn, and desire to help the customers succeed
2. Strong technical and leadership skills
3. Comfortable working under Project Manager supervision
4. Ability to work proactively

1. 3-5 years experience in the administration and management of AIX systems and POWER hardware Experience using the WebSphere Application Server console for monitoring, starting, and stopping of applications
2. Strong analytic, problem solving, and collaborative skills
3. A minimum of 5 years experience with:
a. Experience building robust test environments
b. Environment Infrastructure Build and Automation
c. Scripting and Automation experience
d. Build and Deployment experience
e. Extensive knowledge of a Java version control tool
f. Extensive DB2 Database experience
g. Extensive SDLC experience
h. Ability to analyze and trouble-shoot Mid-tier/Mainframe infrastructure issues.
4. Mid-tier/mainframe platforms and their associated Operation Systems and Tools including:
i. WebSphere MQ / MQ Series
j. Java/J2EE
k. DB2 UDB
l. UNIX
m. AIX
n. LDAP
