Scope of Services

The Florida Department of Transportation, Office of Information Technology (OIT) - Application Services is in search of an Integration Architect to play a key role in assisting the Office of Information Technology in the establishment of new integration methods and standards, along with implementing system integrations, according to those established methods and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for managing the programming, administration and support activities for the enterprises operating systems that may reside on multiple platforms. Has a high level understanding of operating systems and foundation architecture. Accountable for operating systems software selection and development and continued maintenance of such systems to improve efficiencies. Develops departmental standards and procedures including systems programming standards and program documentation requirements. Defines and monitors multiple projects, provides technical and administrative supervision. Must interface with members of the IT and user community to coordinate activities relating to the implementation of new software. Provides technical consultation and support to users and other IT staff.

5 Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

6 Experience

Typically has 7 to 10 years of IT work experience including managing team(s) responsible for systems engineering, development, administration and support.

7 Primary Job Duties/ Tasks

Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Primary function is supporting the Central Office and enterprise SharePoint environment. Develop and write procedures and other document for distribution, installation and use of the SharePoint application. Analyze and recommend software tools for use in administration and support of this environment. technology systems. Confer with personnel to discuss issues such as site needs, security needs and policy changes. Confer with SharePoint developers on the support of custom or off-the-shelf applications and webparts for installation in the test and production environments. Assist users and management in the administration and support of Go To Meeting and Webinar environment. Respond to Automatic Access Request for new accounts, modification and/or termination of accounts. Serve as liaison between the vendor and the on software updates/upgrades and provide communication and training to the user community.Develop and deliver statewide training plans for all standard Microsoft applications including desktop operating system. Training delivery will be via hands-on classroom instruction/demonstration, video conference, webinars and/or one-on-one with the user. Assist users and management to identify and solve computer system problems, providing authoritative information or advice on computer systems and programs. Conduct surveys to determine user needs. Attend training, read technical manuals and brochures to learn about available products and services which meet established requirements. Perform other duties as required to include but not limited to; provide coverage for the service desk system for calls assigned to the ISS department, answer telephones, create spreadsheets, generate reports for supervisor and assist with equipment inventory.
