Description :

Under general supervision works with a team of Administrators to provide remote systems support, troubleshooting, and problem management. Assists in the implementation and monitoring of heterogeneous, multi-server environments at an enterprise level including one or more of the following Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, and UNIX. Provide regular systems maintenance, performance monitoring, inventory, and documentation. Provide primarily technical phone support to users, vendors, and operations personnel as needed. Job duties include:
• Provide day to day Level 2 support to include remote systems support, troubleshooting, and incident/problem management for staff and vendor support.
• Grant user access to GDOL applications as requested.
• Provide day to day implementation and monitoring of GDOL heterogeneous, multi-server infrastructure systems.
• Ensure that all systems and projects are adhering to all GDOL policies, especially those related to project management and information security.
• Ensure that there is system documentation for all systems; including technical diagrams, technical specifications, and support plans.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Associates degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience OR Four years of related experience. Training and experience leading to demonstrated competencies to provide software/hardware support to an enterprise level multi-user computer network. This includes possession of a fundamental knowledge of networks and operating systems; a fundamental knowledge of programming in high level language and systemic problem solving skills. Applies competencies to work in a team environment, to independently manage multiple assignments, to read and comprehend technical documents; to interpret and generate technical documents for target audiences; to accommodate flexible work schedule demands; to display a high standard of ethical conduct work experience is required in one or more of the following: database management, systems and/or network administration, applications programming, geographic information systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferences will be given to applicants that in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following skills:

• 3 years experience in a Windows 10, PC environment
• 1 year experience in a Windows/Linux/AIX Server environment
• 1 year experience administering user accounts in a Microsoft Active Directory environment
• 1 year experience with Remote administration tools such as RPD/DameWare
• Experience administering user accounts in a Linux/AIX environment
• Experience with patch management, Antivirus software, Back-up administration
• Experience installing and troubleshooting Exchange clients
• Experience with troubleshooting connectivity issues in a LAN/WAN environment
• Familiarity with VMware and VDI Technologies
• Familiarity with Systems Management tools.
• Familiarity with SharePoint technologies.
• A+, Network+, Linux, MCSA or certification in a closely related field.
