The person should be a self-starter; detail & customer service oriented, and should have excellent skills in user experience design (user interface, content navigation, information architecture and interaction). Objectives for this engagement include: To enhance applications with respect to the user interface, the navigation and applications interaction framework. To design and develop moderate to complex software modules/applications. To work in collaboration in a cross functional team environment. To assist in the development of information systems blueprints, design patterns, templates for best in class software development and to ensure high levels of software reuse and the migration towards service oriented architecture (SOA). To facilitate application design sessions, and develops general and detailed design specifications for moderate to complex systems. To assist in migration and integration of data and processes from legacy systems to new applications and new technologies. To document and to be able to interact with all levels of the team including business customers, DBA, software developers, design specialists, application developers and management. Primary Duties: Review and participate in the architectural design, development, customization, and integration efforts of the project solution Redesign the user interface to make it more user-friendly and hence enhance ease and usability of the workflow of the business processes being achieved through the application. Perform detailed technical design and development of the application Compliance with policies followed by DSS Ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction Required Skills/Experience All applicants for this Statement of Work must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development. Candidates with experience in cross functional team work or UI/GUI development or TFS or VSTS, force.com, document/case management solutions will be provided special consideration in addition to the software skills. Please indicate knowledge and experience related to these areas on résumés. 5+ in developing large-scale web or multi-platform applications. Expert working knowledge of SQL Server database, C#, C++, ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, XML, Web Services and SQL Reporting Services. Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to provide extensive documentation as needed. Strong experience with creating Project Plans, specifically Microsoft Project. Strong ability to work with staff of varying skill levels (executive, technical and non-technical) Experience in implementation and deployment planning and control Experience working in agile or an iterative methodology for software development Experience with SDLC and SDM principles Experience in Test Driven Development and testing tools and techniques. Well versed in developing monitoring/logging and error Handling Experience working in VSTS and/or TFS or other source code management systems Superior organizational skills in planning and prioritizing own workload and initiatives Nice to Haves Experience with business process management (BPM) and workflow concepts Consulting experience, preferably in public sector environments, specifically government Development experience in force.com Experience in working on enterprise applications   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
