Job Description Administrator: Negotiating Contract, Tracking Contracts, Coordinating Contract, Championing Contract Policy

Description:

Administers and manages contracts for the client, conducts negotiations, and plays an integral role in proposal preparations. Prepares contracts for client. Acts as an advisor regarding specific client contract terms, specifications, and regulations. Disseminates information regarding contract status and modifications with client leadership. Interacts with vendors to negotiate contract terms and conditions on behalf of the client. Prepares RFP, RFI, RFB, ITQ and other procurement documents.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs tasks with increasing complexity and tasks requiring detailed analysis and research. Creativity and independent decision making is required. Reports to client Business Services Division Administrator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5 years relevant experience or bachelors degree in business or related field plus 2 years relevant experience or post-graduate degree in related field (JD, MBA, ect).

Required Skills:

* Working knowledge of writing and editing contracts for IT goods and services on behalf of the Office of the CIO (OCIO)
* Experience in Negotiating contract terms and conditions with vendors.
* Ability to work with OCIO managers and Department of Administrative Services Procurement to determine proper sourcing strategies for OCIO initiatives
* Experience in Tracking contracts and coordinating contract extension, waiver, and/or close-out.
* Working experience in championing contract policy and procedure revision and improvement
* Ensure contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support implementation
* Possess strong communications skills
* Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects
* Ability to complete assignments timely and submit weekly status reports indicating progress on assigned tasks, performance against project due date
* Have the ability to identifiy and suggest resolution for issues having a potential to adversely impact performance and/or the project
* Shall maintain a positive working relationship with coworkers, supervisors and customers and present a positive team environment and customer focus.
* Shall adhere to OCIO work rules
