The candidate champions Agile principles and has the ability and experience to inspire and support change at individual, team, and organizational levels.? The client is looking for someone with outstanding communication and facilitation skills with demonstrated experience with the application of Agile principles and Lean concepts in software development practices. The ?Agile engineer is a well experienced agilist who has strong development background to implement agile engineering practices like pair programming, test driven development, continuous integration, and other engineering practices through working side-by-side with developers and testers. • Partner with development teams to implement agile engineering practices and development of better quality software products • Establish technical document standards as part of development process. • Establish effective use of test automation for functional and regression tests • Participate in pair programming with developers on one to one basis • Identify and remedy negative coding and design patterns • Conduct developer COPs to improve skills and practices. • Conduct demos and POCs of latest technologies that can enhance software quality and delivery time. • Collect and maintain metrics that are presentable to stakeholders. • Establishing continuous integration (CI) practices • Assess the current state of the development teams, provide recommendations for improvement, and coach the teams to meet those recommendations. Required Skills: • Certified Scrum Master; Experience as a working Scrum Master • Strong experience as an Extreme Programming (XP) practitioner and the ability to coach others on these practices. • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle and of several software development methodologies. Senior-level skills in systems architecture, design, development, and programming in object-oriented and relational databases and client server platforms • Experience in leading technical teams; skills as coach and consultant to development organizations • Experienced software developer, especially in an Agile environment • Experienced at mentoring members of technical teams • Bring a thorough knowledge of and demonstrated experience in agile development practices and the tools used to implement a highly effective test-driven development and continuous integration process • At least 5 years experience working in a high-performing agile software development environment • At least 3 years experience implementing agile development practices and coaching new teams • Ability to both pair and mentor software developers and be a servant leader guiding teams to execute on a shared vision Sound understanding and demonstrated experience with: • Iterative and incremental design and software development • Web services (SOAP, REST, etc.) • Automated deployment technologies • Common Web/Application containers • Database integration and ETL • Scripting technologies that may include Perl, Ruby, Java, etc. • Common configuration management repository technologies • Development tools and environments • Test-driven and/or behavior-driven development • Automated unit tests • Automated functional tests • Continuous Integration and deployment • Proven strong innovative and analytical ability in solving advanced technical issues and collaboratively working with others to resolve them Desired Skills: Certified as SAFe Agile Framework Program Consultant (SPC) in version 2.x or 3.x • Outstanding presentation and public speaking skills • Experience conducting training and COPs. • Experience designing and deploying methodologies   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
