Idaho Transportation Departments Financial Services section is upgrading its SAP Business Objects XI Release 3 application suite to the current 4.2 release of SAP Business Objects BI Suite. We also purchased a third party product from Galigeo called Location Intelligence - this product increases the ability to include GIS components within the reporting suite of products. Our current SAP Business Objects reporting tools only include Desktop Intelligence (not available in the new version of the software) and Web Intelligence. Besides the BI Platform, the newly licensed suite comes with many more products, including: Web Intelligence, Crystal reports, Design Studio, Dashboard, Business Objects Analysis, Explorer and Lumira. As mentioned previously we also purchased licenses for the Galigeo Location Intelligence product. ITD Seeks the services of a skilled Software Architect (SA), experienced in installing and optimizing the SAP Business Objects BI suite. Work will include: configuring the software to meet ITD requirements; security configuration and set-up, setting up auditing; migrating assets from the previous installation, etc. We expect most work will be accomplished while working with the designated ITD software administrators so mentoring for these ITD personnel will be a significant part of the work. The work location is primarily Boise, Idaho area. The majority of time will be required in Boise; however, some remote work is feasible for the well-qualified candidate. Contractors are requested to indicate the candidates primary residence location to aid ITD in determining applicability of a fully burdened rate, and its subsequent evaluation of the Contractors rate proposal. Agency Expected Deliverables ITD desires the bulk of the project to be completed by March 2017 using approximately 600 hours. The balance of the hours would be for periodic, on-going, time and materials support (see paragraph 7 below). 1. Software Installation – working with ITD personnel to determine optimal installation of all included BI suite components and Galigeo product first on non-production server and later on production servers – approximately 80 hours inclusive – All software will be installed and verified to be working and accessible. 2. Software Configuration – working with ITD personnel to determine and implement optimal configuration of the BI software based on ITD requirements, including: security, auditing, folder organization, user options, software management best practices, etc. – approximately 240 hours – all software components will be in place and ready for migration of reports, universes, users access groups, etc. 3. Migration of the assets from the current Business Object XIr3 system to include universes and reports as well as the users, security groups, etc. as appropriate – approximately 80 hours 4.
