The person filling this position will work as a ScrumMaster on a Java development team working on the creation and qualification of the software needed to implement the Medicaid Readiness Initiative within the Department of Health and Welfare.

Agency Expected Deliverables
Education: Four year college degree or equivalent technical study and subject mastery

Experience: Two plus years of relevant ScrumMaster experience

Role Description: Experience as a ScrumMaster in a high-paced and dynamic agile team environment with multiple stakeholders. Experience with the creation of measurement processes/methods for assessing progress toward goals and project outcomes. Experience interpreting and explaining specialized or complex technical material into information usable by business stakeholders.

You have to be able to lead by example as opposed to rule by edict or dictate. You work hard to bring out the best in those you interact with. You are able to deal with conflicts in a timely and professional manner. You know how to present the hard truth about an issue, when to say “no” and how to clear obstacles in order for the team to succeed.
You need to act as a positive force for the greater team in regards to the sharing of Agile/Scrum knowledge across the team and agency. You live and breathe Agile concepts and put them into action.

As a ScrumMaster you mentor the empowered, self-organizing, and self-accountable teams that are responsible for delivery of successful outcomes in each sprint. Facilitate the teams progress toward the goal: you are trained as a team facilitator and are constantly engaged in challenging the old norms of development while keeping the team focused on the goals of the iteration.

What we are looking for is a strong technical contributor who can quickly come up to speed on our existing system functionality, application infrastructure, both from a hardware and software perspective. The candidate filling this position must able to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Working knowledge of a modern welfare eligibility case management system and preferably hands-on experience with Idahos Medicaid Eligibility automation.

7. Must actively work to expose project development issues as early as possible while growing the relationship with our business partners - Partnership.
8. Serve as a liaison with organization management to keep them abreast of the team progress including sprint summary along with monthly status reports.
9. Schedule and participate in daily stand-up, sprint review, sprint retrospectives, and sprint planning.
10. Demonstrate knowledge and experience with IT processes and concepts.
11. Lead the teams efforts in continuous improvement. This includes helping the team improve, helping the team take responsibility for their actions, and helping the team become problem solvers for themselves.
