Were pretty good at the basics of agile software development but can always use new ideas about how and where to improve. We are continuously improving and get excited about results and outcomes we achieve through those changes; whether that means moving towards continuous deployment, using Test Driven Development, implementing test automation, employing pair programming or growing leaders throughout our organization. We are seeking a person that leads by example rather than by dictates and knows how to bring out the best in people. This person is not afraid to deal with conflicts. He or She knows when its good to help the team say “No” and when to help the team push for more results. In addition, were looking for someone to act as a champion in terms of sharing Agile knowledge across the organization. Whether it be organizing 1-day open spaces for our agile community, or organizing cross-team workshops, the goal is for this person to continue to promote an Agile environment around our larger product team. Required Skills: • First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM ) • Experience in the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, scaling agile across multiple teams, handling defects, etc.) • The ability to distinguish between what "is Scrum" what is "not Scrum" • Excellent communication and mentoring skills • Understand the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development. • Understand the fundamentals of software development processes and procedures. • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with IT processes and concepts. • Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, SAFe, etc. • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, etc Technical Skills: • Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development. • Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise. • Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures. • Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team. • Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics. • Understand backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task definition. • Mastery of common Agile/Scrum practices. • Familiarity with software as a service, service-oriented environments, and improving development practices. • Understand the software development tools such as Cucumber and Jira,   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
