Candidate must be local : Yes Job Description : OVERVIEW / SUMMARY The contractor needs to be well versed in 4G signaling and call flow in the EPC and IMS Core. The teams responsibility is with equipment from the MME to the rest of the core network (MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF, CSCF, DRA, MGW, MGCF). The responsibility does not extend to eNB or RF, as that is managed by other parts of the organization. With respect to the elements listed above, the role encompasses creation of vendor-specific designs based on predefined architectures, implementation of those designs in our lab environment, and running through end-to-end tests to ensure that the implemented design meets the business requirements. If issues are discovered during testing, the person filling this role needs to have enough knowledge of signaling and call flow to identify and troubleshoot the issues. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create vendor-specific design documents based on existing architectures Work with vendors to identify required releases/features Identify changed required to the existing network infrastructure Document call flows and ladder diagrams Document test cases based on pre-defined use-cases Implement designs in the lab Work with vendors to implement new features Implement any new interfaces identified in the design document Execute the documented test cases Troubleshoot any issues identified during testing Required skills Experience with Wireshark or similar network trace tool Experience with 4G call flows and identifying if they are in compliance with standards Experience with Core networking equipment such as MME, SGW, PGW, CSCF, IBCF, DRA, TAS, MGCF, etc. Experience troubleshooting 4G Voice and Data Calls Experience analyzing network traces Good communication skills Develop design documentation based on existing templates Review design documents with Architecture and Engineering teams Good verbal skills to discuss design and answer questions REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Science required Minimum experience of 7 years Strong knowledge of IP and 4G protocols is a must Must keep up with latest technology such as NFV, SDN, network slices, mobile edge computing, network security, etc. Experience in providing technical leadership to large complex projects with ability to work in a cross-functional team required Excellent oral and written communication skill is absolutely essential Must be capable of working independently as well as in a group environment   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
